Chris believes that, in most cases, the only people who benefit from protracted litigation are the lawyers. Mediation is one way to avoid long time delays, increased tension between the parties, and exorbitant attorney's fees and court costs. As a mediator, Chris is willing to make every effort to attempt to settle a case between parties so that they can avoid the pain of litigation.
Chris Harrell is approved as a mediator by the Jefferson Circuit Court, Family Division, and by the Commonwealth of Kentucky Administrative Office of the Courts. He received his training with Just Solutions mediation services of Louisville, with an emphasis in Family Law. He mediates cases involving divorce, child custody, paternity, child support, and visitation/time-sharing. Parties wishing to pursue mediation without attorneys are encouraged to call Chris Harrell's office directly to schedule mediation, (usually, when a person is represented by a lawyer, the lawyer will take care of the scheduling). This mediation process can fulfill the Jefferson Circuit Court, Family Division's policy that most people in contested domestic relations cases must attempt mediation prior to litigation.
